Motion Sensor

Passive infrared motion sensors constantly scan areas for changes in temperature or motions, turning lights on only when ambient light is below the set level and motion is detected. Lights stay on for a programmed length of time, then shut off to save energy. Sensors are weatherproof, with integrated circuit technology and large areas of coverage. Photocell automatically deactivates during daylight to save energy. Sensor is adjustable, with multiple time and range settings. Polycarbonate, weatherproof sensor design.

Intended Use & How does it works

The motion sensor is designed to be used with outdoor lights providing automatic ON/OFF control when motion is detected. Can be used with a wide variety of light fixtures.

The Motion Sensor�s infrared sensor "sees" small temperature changes caused by the motion of objects within its detection zone and turns on lights automatically. Large animals or a strong infrared source such as vehicle headlights or sunlight reflecting off a surface can also trigger the sensor.
