Technical Information — Power Supply Cables

North America Cable Types:

•	SVT — Service Vacuum Thermoplastic (300V, Vacuum Cleaner Cord)

•	SJT — Service Junior Thermoplastic (300V, Hard Service Cord)

•	ST — Service Thermoplastic (600V, Extra Hard Service Cord)

Notes

•	Thermoplastic insulation and jacket are PVC (polyvinyl chloride).

•	"W" added, (e.g. SJTW, STW, etc.) means the insulation is water resistant AND the jacket is sunlight resistant AND the cord is suitable for use in cold temperatures.

•	Types SVTO, SJTO and STO have jackets which also recognized for oil resistance at 60�C and lower temperatures.

•	Type designations are harmonized with UL and CSA (Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian Standards Assotiation).
