Plug System China
- The plug system of the class I (L+N+PE) in China looks similar to the standard in Australia or Argentina but it is mechanically different.
- The grounding pin is placed on top of the socket outlet and not below the two other conductors.
- This configuration referred from IEC as "Type I" is mainly used in Argentina, Australia, China and New Zealand.
- Also there is a 16 amp version which is used e.g. for air conditioners.
- The 16 amp version is not compatible to the plugs and sockets with rated current of 10 amp.
