Installation Instructions

•	NOTICE: For installation only by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code^®, Canadian Electrical Code, local codes, and the following instructions.

•	This plate is for FS/FD box mounting or against a smooth flat surface. When mounted against a smooth, flat surface, the plate must be secured to the switch using the screws provided.

•	The mounting screws must be tightened to 6-10 lb.-in. (0.7 - 1.2 N•m) torque to create a proper seal between the plate and the mounting surface.

•	If the surface against which the plate is mounted is not smooth and flat, a bead of silicone based caulking compound must be used under the edge of the plate to assure a proper seal.
